Airbus proposes to outsource 3.5 bln usd worth of work on A350XWB

Financial Times reported that EADS wants to outsource US$3.5 billion worth of work on its proposed A350XWB airliner in an effort to reduce the overall development costs.

The percentage of work on the A350 will be increased from 30 to close to 50 percent.
