Report: Recorder tape suggests tower error in Brazil crash

The flight recorder transcript from the Embraer Legacy jet that collided with a Boeing 737 in Brazil shows that the tower in Sao Jose dos Campos gave it instructions to fly at FL370, the same altitude as the Boeing jet.

The information contradicted the pilots' filed flight plan as well as established norms, which reserve odd-numbered altitudes for southbound flights.
