United asks Boeing, Airbus to bid for 150 planes

United Airlines has asked Boeing Co and Airbus to submit bids for 150 airliners, the Wall Street Journal reported on its website.

The new planes are expected to replace United's 111 twin-aisle fleet and some of its 757 jets.
